The blog address – GenEngBoy [read as Jen-Enj-Boy]- is portmanteau of Genetic Engineering Boy. This portmanteau was coined by me as my handle on the microblogging website, Twitter. The reason being my obsession with genetic engineering, biotechnology and anything related to them. The obsession comes from my academic and research training in this field of science, or as a patent attorney would put it, in this field of art.

Dear The PlagueFairy, thank you so much for lovely comment. In an aspect, I am late in replying to you. Yet, in another aspect, I am quite early if you were to receive this comment years later. I never found a penpal but I did find my wife, and marital life has engaged me fully so the agitations and restlessness of my soul are currently pacified.
